Are you playing the right game?

I remember 5AM. Not the alarm going off, but ending the night watching the sun come up. Then bouncing back 5 hours later to crawl into work. And doing it all over again the next night.

The cost is much higher now. When I drink too much, it takes days to reset. When I run myself dry, it takes weeks to get back to baseline.

It’s hard to accept that the rules have changed. I was good at the old game, but I can’t play it like I used to.
