How To Find Your Passion

I’m thinking about success and know it means nothing if it doesn’t come with happiness. Seems obvious, right? You want to do work you love. You want to live with passion.

But what if you’ve lost it? What if you’ve compromised too long? What if you’ve been surviving so long that you forgot what thriving feels like?

Real success stands on the shoulders of passion. So if you want to find success, you’ve got to find passion first. But how?

Start by doing. Move into action. I don’t just mean being physical, I mean do creative shit. Whatever grabs your attention, or comes to mind, or just happens to be there if that’s all you’ve got. Start taking pictures, or writing, or planting a garden, or cooking, wherever. It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t have to make money, or sense, or have any kind of ROI.

Then peel. Pay attention to yourself and look for what’s motivating you. Peel back the layers of the onion. Peel back the rubble you’ve let yourself get buried under. Follow every lead. Peel more. Get a spark going and feed it. Rekindle.

Keep Doing and Peeling. That’s the only way I know. That’s what’s working for me.
